Youth Program Description Our Youth Program opportunities include assisting with childhood literacy projects, leading life skills workshops in the community, organizing youth career expos, volunteering as a teacher or an assistant teacher and mentoring youth in rehabilitation centers. We appeal to Volunteers who may get involved with coaching tennis, volley ball or football in the community’s underprivileged schools, organizing camps that focus on team and capacity building, combining football and other ball games with life skills training and working with young people on issues related to HIV/AIDS, sexuality and adolescence. Major Highlights -You will be guided by a placement coordinator who specializes in your field of interest during the application process, giving you insight into local opportunities and placing you in a position that suits your specific skills and experience. Abimbo village has adventure and volunteer opportunity for everyone. Nature lovers can explore the seasonal river Ndati which is home to hundreds of bird species, picturesque botanical vegetation, a visit to traditional African healers, and lake activities including fishing and boat ridding in the adjacent lake Victoria. Adventure-seekers can as well organize for more cultural activities within the village as they enjoy the remarkable village life during their volunteer placement. Qualifications We tailor-make the youth program activities for students, graduates, and professionals in any field of interest. Based on your specific interests and goals, we will find a unique volunteer opportunity where you can contribute your valuable skills.
