Samburu National Reserve

Samburu national reserve is a rugged and remote Kenya national reserve found in the northern part of kenya. Samburu national reserve can be said to be a Kenya Lava plain with steep-sided gullies and rounded hills.

The central feature of this Kenya adventure reserve is the winding and looping Ewaso Nyiro river, with a gallery of samburu acacia forest which is home to a wide variety of Kenya birdlife.

Some of the Kenya rare animal species like the long-necked gerenuk,Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, beisa Oryx and blue shanked Somali ostrich can be viewed in this northern part of semi-arid Kenya national reserve.

The national reserve itself is located in one of the Kenya most cultural rich tribes ,the samburu people, who have managed to maintain their ethnic custom since time immemorial. The animals dominating this part of semi-arid Kenya bear special adaptative features that help them survive in this dry land.
